The fine print
Privacy Policy
We only collect what we need to quote, make and deliver your order. We don’t sell it, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t track you around the internet.

Star Tagz makes personalised mini jerseys for sports teams. To do that we need some information about you, your team and your players. This page explains what we collect, why, where it goes and what you can ask us to do with it.
Star Tagz is based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. ABN 16 837 594 388.
1. What we collect
When you order for a team through our order form, we collect:
- your name, your role with the team, your email and your phone number
- the club or team name, sport, and the date you need the tags by
- photos of your jersey, and any logo or artwork files you send
- product, size and quantity details
- your player list: each player’s name and jersey number
- your confirmation that you’re authorised to place the order
When an organisation orders by spreadsheet, we collect the same kinds of details by email, usually a list of teams, player names and numbers, plus kit photos.
When you pay and we deliver, we collect the billing and delivery details we need to invoice you and send the order. You pay by bank transfer against our invoice. We never see or store your card details.
When you email or call us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and have a record of what was agreed.
2. Player names, and kids
Most of the players on our orders are kids. We don’t collect information from kids directly. Orders come from adults: team managers, coaches, coordinators and parents.
When you send us a player list, you’re telling us you have the okay from those players, or their parents, to share their names and numbers with us for the order. We use those names and numbers only to make the tags. Nothing else.
3. Why we use it
We use your information to:
- prepare your mock-up and quote
- check the artwork before we print, including whether we need to clarify permission to use a club’s name or logo
- make, pack and deliver your order
- send your invoice and keep business and tax records
- answer your questions and sort out any problems
- make your next order quicker, by keeping your design on file
Emails from us. Now and then we may email past customers, for example a reminder before a new season that you can reorder. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link, and one reply saying “stop” works too.
Photos of finished tags. We’d love to show off good work. We’ll only post photos of your team’s tags on our website or social media if you’ve said yes on the order form or in writing. You can change your mind at any time and we’ll take them down.
We don’t use your information for anything else, and we don’t make any automated decisions about you. A real person reads every order.
4. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We don’t share it with advertisers.
- We don’t use your players’ names or photos for marketing without your permission.
- We don’t use your kit or artwork for anyone else’s order.
5. Who else sees it
We share information only with the services we need to run the business, and only as much as each one needs:
- Webflow hosts our website and receives order form submissions and uploaded files.
- Google runs our email, and the spreadsheet where we track orders.
- Delivery couriers get your name and delivery address, to get the order to you.
- Our accountant or bookkeeper sees invoice records, for tax.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
6. Where it’s stored
Some of these services store data outside Australia. Webflow and Google both store data on servers in the United States and other countries. We choose established providers with strong security, but by using our order form you understand your information may be held overseas.
7. Cookies and tracking
Our website is hosted on Webflow, which uses a small number of cookies needed to make the site and the order form work. We don’t run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page first.
8. How long we keep it
We keep order records, including invoices, for five years, because Australian tax law requires us to.
We keep your artwork and design on file so a reorder next season is quick. If you’d rather we didn’t, tell us and we’ll delete your artwork, jersey photos and player list once your order is delivered, except for anything we have to keep for tax records.
9. Keeping it safe
Your information sits in password-protected accounts that only Star Tagz can access, with two-step sign-in where the service offers it. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum and delete what we no longer need.
If something ever goes wrong and your information is exposed in a way that could harm you, we’ll tell you.
10. Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
You can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you or your players
- correct anything that’s wrong, like a misspelt name
- delete your information, where we don’t have to keep it by law
- stop sending you emails
Email david@startagz.com and we’ll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. You don’t have to give a reason.
You don’t have to give us your details to ask a question. You can email anonymously or under a different name. We do need real contact details to take and deliver an order.
11. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email david@startagz.com first and we’ll try to put it right. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, for example we start using analytics, we’ll say so clearly here.
